BIG NEWS! The Friends have usually held a book sale each Fall. But this year we still have so many books, and continue to receive more, that we’ve decided to hold a Spring sale. As always, the monies raised go to the Friends of the Brooks Library Endowment Fund.
The inaugural 2024 Spring book sale will be held on Wednesday May 8 and Thursday May 9!
Book Donations
We welcome donations for our annual November book sale throughout the year! Before donating, please help us by going through your books to make sure they are clean, undamaged (e.g. no torn or missing pages), and not excessively marked up; that they have complete front and back covers; and that they are free of dust, mold, smoke or vermin damage.
What we accept and sell:
Books on all subjects (but no textbooks, please)
Both paperbacks and hardbacks (including large-print)
We especially appreciate children’s and young adult books!
CDs and DVDs (so long as they are playable)
What we do not accept:
Textbooks
Magazines
Audio cassette or VHS tapes
Records or LPs
How to donate:
One box or less: please take them to the front desk of the Brooks Library. Say that they are for the Friends of the Library Book Sale!
More than one box: please make an appointment to unload at the library by emailing Carol Findley at findley.carol@gmail.com.
